Member Update

Dear Families ACT members,

Welcome to our first member update for 2024! We hope you all had a restful break and enjoyed your summer holidays.
In this edition: the ACT Government’s 2024-25 budget consultation process, a Commissioning report, EOIs sought for Families ACT Executive Officer role and the Healthy Canberra grants are still open.

ACT Government’s 2024-25 budget consultation process

The ACT Government is seeking your views and suggestions as to how the Government should prioritise and efficiently allocate the Territory’s resources in developing the 2024-25 Budget. Its focus is on creating job opportunities, delivering high-quality services, and investing in the infrastructure needs of one of the fastest growing jurisdictions in Australia. The Budget consultation process provides an important opportunity for the community to be involved in the budget working together to ensure that limited resources are put to their most efficient use.

You are able to provide your or your organisation’s input via two main avenues. A form has been made available for written budget submissions if you wish to provide more detailed input. If you encounter any difficulties in using this form, your submission may still be emailed through to budgetconsultation@act.gov.au.

You are also welcome to participate in the 2024-25 Budget Consultation survey which will open in mid-February 2024 and be conducted on the YourSay panel. The survey will remain open for 6 weeks.

Additional details about the budget consultation process can be found on the ACT Government’s YourSay page.
